“The Party don’t start till I walk in…” Friday night the party started when Z103.5 walked into reflections. DJ NoLuv, Nikki from the morning show and the Z party patrol were there for Full Throttle Friday’s!

The dance floor was full and we gave out tons of swag, we even had a dance off outside in the street and the winners got into reflections VIP. No more cold line ups for them! Of course DJ NoLuv was playing all of my favourite songs and I broke out a few of my best dance moves. If you show us your best moves next week you could win VIP.

Thursday night Genna and Jax hit up Empire Theatres on Spring Garden for the premier of “Youth in Revolt.” The theatre was completely packed, with a huge lineup a full hour before showtime! Check out “Youth In Revolt” at a theatre near you.

Friday night Z103.5 and Reflections hosted the first Live to Air of the year. The bar was at full capacity – 450 plus peeps! DJ NoLuv was spinning the tunes and Nikki from the Z Morning Show hosted. Cu$ and Jax from the Street were in the house with tons of Z swag and keep the crowd pumped. Go FULL THROTTLE with Reflections and Z103.5 every Friday night!!

Sunday the Z Street Team took their Canadian pride to the Pedestrian Strip on Granville Street. Classified shot his new music video for Oh Canada!! The Street Team crew - Genna, Sam, Floyd and Nikki wore their red and white and hung with the crowd for the afternoon! It was a great day! Classified and his crew including Chad Hatcher were all there! The video will be on Much Music in about 2 weeks. OH CANADA OHOHOH CANADA!

After the video shoot Sam and Floyd hit up the Halifax Forum for the Halifax Lions Hockey game! The Halifax Lions took the win and beat the Dieppe Commandos 5-2!! Go Team!

The Team finished up the weekend with a Z Party Patrol at The Beer Market!! Sam and Genna danced up a storm with the crowd, held a couple dance off’s and handed out tons of Z swag!! Catch the Z Street Team throughout Metro to win great prizes every week!

Before I go into details about this past week, (which was awesome as usual!) I have to say that I loveee Halifax around Christmas time! It’s a stunning city to begin with, but with all the decorations and Christmas carols its just that much better! (Side note, if you so decide to bring the festivities home, think twice if you own a cat… Christmas decorations can fall victim to a ferocious feline!! First hand witness right here!!) With all the carols blasting around Metro (most from my car.. haha), I have noticed there are some outrageously outdated (or traditional depending on your view) Christmas tunes… and I’m thinking it may be time for an update.. maybe a little X-mas Mashup? Cu$... Trixx… NoLuv… SOMEONE! Btw – LOVE the new Jamie Sparks Christmas tune. Listen for it on Z103.5!

So, Christmas aside, this past week at Z has been amazing! But seriously, how could it not be.. its Z! Since working at Z I’ve for sure ticked off some things on my bucket list… dancing in front of 70 000 people (Parade of Lights) attempting to DJ (my sincerest apologies to all who heard that disaster)! Hard to top, I know, but… the regional Coors Light Mystery Mansion! What could be better than a couple of cold Coors, a room full of flat screens with games, good tunes and Molson girls? I know… if you’re a guy… nothing!! And Z was there having a riot! It was seriously a wicked party!

Speaking of Bucket Lists, ever thought you would do the limbo in a bar full of people? If your thinking we at Z couldn’t possibly be as fun as Cancun Spring Break… yes… yes we can be. This past Sunday at the Beermarket we held a hilarious Limbo contest for a set of tickets to the Lower Deck New Years Gala! There were some serious limboer’s in the crowd! It was completely outrageous and soooo hilariously funny! Come next Sunday to see what kind of crazy idea we have! (We have to top last week somehow!)

There is so much to tell you all about the wicked events the Z Street Team has hit up this past week! I know last week I went on a rant about the snow…NO complaints this week! It’s practically spring! (and I’m loving it... seriously amazing!)

Even though the weather didn’t necessarily reflect a Christmas mood, at Z, we where PUMPED with a TON of Christmas spirit this week for the Festival of lights Parade! (I know, we totally rocked show!) Aside from bringing the house down with out absolutely amazing dance routine, I loved the parade it was so beautiful… and to be honest I’m a bit of a Christmas junkie…I LOVE Christmas time!

So as I said, this past week was crazy busy with awesome events, including the Olympic Torch Ceremony (yup, the Z street team was there…and yup we held the torch, it was amazing!) I hope most of you got a chance to go down to parade square because it was one of the most inspirational things I have ever seen! Everyone was singing O Canada and rocking out to Nova Scotia’s own, Classified! Plus, the Z Street team was passing out swag to some pretty amazing people!

TOTALLY forgot… but um.. two words…MYSTERY MANSION. The pre party at the Grawood seriously rocked! DJ NoLuv literally had everyone in the bar busting a move and Jeff was cracking jokes all night living it up with the Molson girls! Everyone there for sure was having a BLAST! By the end, all the Molson girls were on stage dancing to NoLuv spinning and everyone was on the dance floor dancing (and watching the girls dance, haha!) I can’t even imagine how fun the main Mystery Mansion on the 28th will be! This next week is just as busy and fun as last week! Keep an eye (and ear) out for our Street Team who will be all around the HRM giving away Z swag and blasting tunes out of our new hook up system in the Z Cruiser! (It’s really amazing!) Don’t be shy to bust a move when we drive by!

Friday November 6... ummm what was THAT all about!! (okay needed that first line to rant!) Is winter really here, already? Because the Z Street Team is starting to heat things up!!! Cold Weather? Snow? WHO CARES! The Z Street Team is still out at all of Halifax's hottest spots giving away free Z swag and keeping the party goingggg!

This past week has been a ton of fun… snow included (thanks mother nature)!! Because I’m new at Z, (okay I confess, I’m a newbie) I’m still figuring things out, but this job ROCKS! Seriously so much fun!!! I’ve been hitting up the Beermarket on Sunday nights with DJ Trixxx and Pogue Fado every Wednesday with Jeff from the morning show and DJ Cu$!! (ps. On a side note, DJ’s aren’t as hard to approach as I thought, they may look serious, but they’re a ton of fun… and spin AMAZING music!) Another confession…I sometimes wish I could steal their Itunes library! haha! But because that’s impossible I just hit up the dance floor..HARD!!!

This upcoming week there is a ton of wicked events! You’ll find the Street Team around the HRM (snow or shine) giving away Z Swag (and likely busting a move)!! Don’t forget the Festival of Lights on November 21st… you won’t be able to miss us…we have BIG PLANS! They’re a secret of course… which makes it that much more fun!
